Virgule

Launch Kit

Red on red, and one bottle in the middle of it.

A red lid laid beside the open base of a rigid box, the name blind printed on both

Virgule was launching a scent nobody was supposed to know about yet, so the box had to do the opposite of explain. Everything in it is red. The shell, the lining, the round insert sitting inside. A red that has to hold the same value across three different materials, because red on red only works when the reds agree.

The insert is round and the folding box it holds is not, which is the whole move. The circle is recessed, so its edge throws a soft shadow around what sits inside it, and the tray reads as a spotlight on an empty stage.

The logo is hot foil in black, embossed, sitting on all that red. Black on red is the loudest contrast available, and a scent built on Born to Be Wild had earned it.

One 10ml bottle, treated as the only thing in the room.

Specification

Rigid shell, red throughout. Recessed round insert framing an inner folding box. Black hot foil stamped and embossed logo. Single 10ml vial.

The launches that have to stay quiet are the ones we enjoy most.
